Rejecting the Word - Rob Spurlock

The Word of God has been sent from Heaven to edify God’s people. It has been poured out like water on the earth. It is the source of life and answer to every problem that man may face. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is the proclaimed Word of God, that was made flesh, is beckoning us all to a more intimate, life-altering, transparent walk with Him and every day we reject His Word in some way. When we hear the preaching and don’t particularly like the messenger God sent or the subject they minister on we reject the message. We can turn a blind eye to what is being brought forth and not even realize we’re rejecting God. We can turn a deaf ear to the rebuke, correction, instruction, or doctrine and not notice we are in rebellion. God’s Word has been and is being sent to teach us, lead us, correct us, mold us, edify us, and fill us. We must be cautioned to this kind of attitude. The same sun that melts the ice also hardens the clay. Though the candle is melting, dripping, and bowing the wick inside bursting out of the top is burning to light the way for someone. Let the Word of the Almighty bless you and encourage you. Let every jot and every tittle strengthen and enable you for the Kingdom of Heaven.
